Role and experience

Shafiq has more than 20 years of experience with Frequency Telecom and brings extensive knowledge of warehousing, logistics and distribution. Over the course of his career, he has worked across a variety of operational roles before progressing into management.

This practical experience gives Shafiq a strong understanding of the processes involved in moving goods efficiently through the supply chain, from warehouse operations and courier management through to international shipping and customs clearance.

What Shafiq does at Frequency

As Logistics Operations Manager, Shafiq manages relationships with Frequency’s courier and logistics partners, including negotiating competitive shipping rates and working with providers to ensure inbound and outbound deliveries are processed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

His day-to-day responsibilities include providing couriers with the documentation, customs clearance instructions and other information required to keep shipments moving and minimise avoidable delays. He also monitors changes to logistics, customs and shipping requirements, helping ensure Frequency’s internal processes remain up to date and compliant.

Shafiq also arranges specialist deliveries when required, including same-day courier services and appropriate insurance for high-value shipments. In addition, he helps ensure relevant employee training is kept up to date, including areas such as dangerous goods handling and forklift operation.
