The global mobile phone accessories and audio product distributor announces it has been selected by the Swedish fashion accessory brand to represent its products in the UK, Russia and Holland
22nd October 2013 – London – Frequency, one of the UK’s best-known distributors of mobile phone accessories and audio products, is pleased to announce the latest addition to its audio portfolio – Happy Plugs. Representing the brand’s range of vibrant in-ear and ear-bud headphones throughout the UK, Frequency will also be distributing through its European network into Russia and Holland.
A new brand to the UK, Happy Plugs offers a refreshing outlook to the smartphone accessory and portable audio market, designing colourful products to suit each consumer’s individual personality and style. Offering 11 vibrant colours for both ranges of earphones as standard, Happy Plugs, in line with current fashion trends, will also launch two seasonal edition colours, with the latest new arrivals being Cobalt and Lavender. The recent IFA exhibition also saw the brand launching two Deluxe Special Editions, gold and silver, to perfectly match the latest iPhone 5S, along with an Extra Special Deluxe Edition; an exclusive 18-carat gold, hand-made in Stockholm set of earbuds, costing a cool £11,000.
Coinciding with the launch is an extensive retailer-marketing programme, designed to support in-store sales. Frequency, with close support from Happy Plugs, will be offering complete POS (Point Of Sale) promotional solutions, which include counter-top and freestanding units. To help retailers visualise the effectiveness of the displays in-situ prior to installation, planograms will be created to perfect the ideal mix of product and colour selection.
Commenting on the distribution arrangement, Mike Gregory, Head of Audio at Frequency, said, “We are delighted to be distributing Happy Plugs headphones. A new brand to the UK with a refreshing outlook on the crowded headphone market, we are confident that the brand will make a big impact. With its modern and eye-catching styling, packaging and POS support, we will be targeting both fashion-conscious and technology customers across our retailer network.”
Andreas Vural, CEO and Founder of Happy Plugs, said, “The UK is a very important market for us and we have been looking for the right partner for some time. Frequency’s reputation speaks for itself and offers the perfect mix of retailers combined with excellent marketing support – both of which are vital through this critical launch period for Happy Plugs. We look forward to a long and lucrative partnership for both company’s.”
